Does anyone know anything about PC based CCTV systems. I would like to get a camera with a motion detector - connected to my PC to keep an eye on my Zed.

Any help appreciated.....

I used to play with one called http://www.webcamxp.com/ works really well with a USB camera (or many) and can even email you picture when it is triggered. I'm now using LAN based cameras

I fitted a system like this at work in the stores, this was some time ago,the programs you can get off the net for free and are quite good, however you can use a web cam just has to be a bloody good one for getting a quality pic at night.i tried a few before finally getting it working properly.Oh and the programs activated the motion sensors.

I've got a 802.11G Wireless colour camera with motion sensor and triggered recording/e-mail Jeremy. Have got it boxed up ready for e-bay but I'll post some details later if you're interested..
