Just checking my fuses under the bonnet on the nearside front of the car and found the 'Engine Cont' fuse to be blown...

 

i've been driving around with this blown i think for a while...what in layman's terms does it do? would it be the cause of my revs nearly dropping to stalling point?

cool, just started the car again and it's sorted the problem!
