my Z decided to break down first time at the nasty crossroads,then again about 2 miles up the road,alternater died a death,big thanks to Peach,Royal(battery swap was a pain but it worked),Slick Pete(hope your recoverd from the Z pushing mate),Chunk,Royals mrs(sorry forgot your name)and the guy in the Merc and his buddy in the S13 at crossroads.Again big thanks.

 

Nice to meet so many on sat and sunday,was a great weekend besides the above trouble. :)

Ok mate will do,just been under Z tonight to try to remove alternator ,fook me what a pain,gave up after 2 hours,any tips :D

tips - a big bar on the end of your wrench! :)

I can't remember if the alternator has a bolt on the back or not? I don't think it does?? Probably get more leverage if you were going at it from above if you havn't got a pit/ramp I reckon? I stick an extension onto the socket wrench handle by using another big spark plug socket then the extension.

 

Meant to say yesterday: we stopped for fuel soon after giving you our battery and turned the engine off without thinking! We were worried it wouldn't be charged yet and start again but lo and behold she fired straight up. At least I know the alternator is good on mine, lol.

LOL!!! It was a good job Alicia managed to catch it right on that attempt in reverse gear. I dont think I had another push left in me!!!
