i nearly aswell of killing my pc killed a pair of panties.

I tell you what it was so bloody scary my power supply went bang and big spark out of the back.

Damn Ebuyer Value PSU.

Oh and it's killed my graphics card for sure, bet other parts are not feeling to well neither.

I wanted to do a nutty build once the car is repaired so there is no point repairing it on a budget now as i will just replace the parts when i got some spare dollar.

Man that was so scary though.

Thats bad luck mate, I've heard so many stories of cheap PSU's blowing up, and have personally witnessed a Q-tec go bang, loud bang, bright flash, burning smell and it blew out the circuit breaker, somehow the components survived though, have you tested it since?

Important to have a good PSU in your system, spend a minimum of £50 on one imo.

Agreed - I replace more cheap psu's for customers than you wouldn't believe.

However, I bought a case with a cheap psu, and all had been well for about a year - then the fooker exploded on me big style, nearly wet me pants as it was about 4 in the morning and the room was dark. Never thought it would happen to me, should've ripped out the psu when I bought the case and got a good make like Antec.

it dont pay to get get cheap PSU's :(

a m8 had a Qutec and that went bang and it took out his MoBo and his chip lol

ANTEC all the way for me!! :)

yeah - blew caps on my mobo too.

Replaced them and mobo works fine now :)

i'm going to get a Seasonic one.

The prob is that my case is rather large and the board goes in upside down so i get a wind tunnel past the ram and proccessor which means i need a PSU with longer cables than normal and the spec don't list the lengh of the cables.

Yeah I had a cheapo PSU blow out on me, very scary. It took out my mobo but everything else survived. I always buy a decent one now I have learned my lesson lol.

I got Antec Power supply too.

Their cases are fab, mine came with 2 system fans and quick release removable hard drive bays. Quality!

I used to blow up power supplies for fun @ my old job..

was trainin to be a pc technician (did my A+ ) and we used to plug em in, shut them inside the bathroom and make em go pop..

after that we used to have to learn to fix them.. soldering etc etc!! Great fun..

anyway... good luck fixin it!!
