Everything has been going fine. Till now

 

Brother went to start the zed this morning and the starter remained engaged, while removing the starter i found this, has anyone ever seen this happen before as i havent. :eek:

Not seen that, but I've had one of the flanges snap before. That casing seems to be made from quite a brittle metal that is prone to cracking :(

yeah its made of a cast so no chance of even welding it.
