Me!

The other day I noticed water on my garage floor. Convinced my z ed is leaking I post here for help, and get myself booked into zedworld.

After talking to Scubie tonight, I realise I am filling my water...... into the overflow pipe for the expansion tank.

my water was topped right up, and it leaked because I always let my car warm up for a few minutes before driving off to get up to tempreture (oh yes, a very careful zed owner here) the fully topped up rediator just dumped the excess water on my garage floor via the overflow.

DOH! :headvswal

now all I need to do is work out how to fill my oil via that little tube on the side of the engine.

oops :x: oh well least it's nothing serious. I'm sure you're not the only one to fall into that one. Others just wouldn't dare own up to it :D

leaving your car standing to warm up will do it more harm than good mate.

Idling the engine prodoces less heat, so its spending more time cold, with thick oil not lubricating too well, and fuel sloshing in in the bucket load causing bore wash. Its best to start up and drive straight away.
