The picture shows one of my Tein top mounts. I've just had the car 4 wheel aligned and what a difference!!!! much better handling!!!

Anyway the fitter said it was up to the driver to sort the "comfort" adjustment out so I got home and took a wrench to the adjustment screw...

.... only to find that the big nut it sits in was turning with it!!!

Is it supposed to do that? I was under the impression that the adjustment screw would turn in the bolt. If this bolt is that loose could that be the cause of my knocking?

Please help me before i break my car again :headvswal

anyone...?

These tein shocks look like quite old models pre /flex /hr /ha/.To tighten nut becarful not to score shock tube .Remove wheel and betwen spring coils hold shock piston with mole grips but cover jaws with rubber [bike inner tube works well]clamp and turn nut on top .Will the centre adjuster not turn if you hold the nut still with a spanner and adjust centre with and adjustable spanner?.
