Probably the motor failed.

Just done one myself and its a right pain of a job :(

...might not be the motor - there's a control box that's weak in the door. Wire the motor up to the battery first to check that it's working. Actually you can wire the motor to earth to bypass the box - this works, but often - well, I'll let you find out what happens...

my control relay in the drivers door used to mess about - took it apart & cleaned the solenoid contacts which sorted it

with mine sometimes it wouldn't work if i hit the door near the switch it would work but not now i also get a clicking noise

mine did the same, me punching the door card made the connection worse :headvswal

got inside it and opened the black control box to find one solder connection on the small circuit board was completely broken.

2 mins with a soldering iron and flex, and it now works a treat, not a difficult job at all.

Just be forceful with the control box, its stronger than u think ;)

HTH

I found some dodgy looking joints in the control box and soldered them up but it still turned out to be the motor.

If you can hear clicking it sounds like the relay is working so chances are it's the motor.

Ditto mine was the same
