Me again! I was having a nose around in the engine bay and noticed this pipe wasnt connected to anything. It was just hanging down. On normal idle, the pipe doesnt blow or suck, but when I reved the engine, the pipe sucked in air. Anyone know where it goes and what its for? Oh yeah, its on the off side, right next to the brake booster.

Thanks! :D

Sorry! I'm still on dial up and it takes AGES for the pic to up load.......

It's a total plate of spaghetti down there, I've just replaced all those hoses with silicone ones from Smithy. But saying that, while I was doing it I found one that had split and fell off the bottom of the valve that is just to the left of the words 'T Piece' in your picture. It would be best to trace the other end to see where it goes, then post here and someone could have a look for you, as I can't really tell from the pic.

Incidental mine's been running for, what looks like, quite some time with my pipe broken, but has made no difference since I've put the new one on

Cheers for that! It is a nightmare down there isnt it! Will try again to trace where the pipe goes.

I'm hoping it goes to the ECG as that might cure my suspect detting!

Thanks mate!

Oh yeah, hows you gear box been after you got it reconned?

...Oh yeah, hows you gear box been after you got it reconned?

Which time?

It went in, got reconed, then went and picked it up the day before JAE last year, arrived at JAE and the box linkage dropped off, stranding me in the middle of the field ;) Got that sorted via my local Nissan garage (paid for by recon company) then about six weeks later, while going to an important meeting for work, the bloody thing went again. Not the linkage, the whole box :headvswal So off it went again back to the original place, and it's been fine ever since. If it goes again, it's having a manual conversion ;)
