intercooler question

has anybody tried to force draught cool their intercoolers ??

i read the Veyron has its intercoolers ( 4 of them ) cooled further by using fan assist

does anybody think its worth while mounting some 12vdc fans behind the side mount intercoolers to suck air through the coolers , and if so what if any gains could be made , what are the figures for temp drop per degree / bhp ..any boffins out there ??? we all know when in summer the car does not perform as well as in spring and autumn as the air through the coolers is warmer ( less dense )

seems a sensbile plan to me as forced cooling is always going to be better then just ambient. Gains would really depend how tucked away from the airflow your intercoolers are. Its not goin to hurt your cooling thats for sure, but a boffin definatly required to say how worth while it would be..
