Apparently this never went into production, although I'd say, by the looks of it with the top up, would fit in with todays modern hard-top convertibles.

ASC is/was an American company famed for quite a few "soft top" conversions on unusual donor cars. Whilst I was living in the States in the early 90's (and an avid reader of Road & Track) they succesfully converted Ferrari Testarossas (including a T-top version), Ferrari 348, Accura (Honda) NSX, and various American cars like the Caddilac Eldorado (also the four door Seville) and a few Buicks. As far as I know these were all "one-offs" or specially commissioned projects. If the company still exists I'm sure that they would be happy to convert your "Zee X" - provided you have the $$$$.

LOL Looked green on the crappy LCD screen, but very blue on the CRT!

Technology, don't you just luv it. :headvswal

Probably a bit of wishful thinking too

Sorry, but in my opinion that is hideous.

why does anyone want back seats in a convertible?

Hmm..... gonna be the odd one out I'm afraid. Interesting idea, and obviously quite cool the way the roof goes up and down... but the execution could use some work. Apart from a couple of Mercs, I've *never* seen a hard-top convertible that I actually like, and this is unfortunately no exception.... it just looks unbelievably stupid with the roof up, as do most others in this category.

I dont like the standard Z convertible you normally see at all. I have to say this one is better but still prefer the T-Top model

Not liking that much at all, its just too long. With the roof down the length of the boot just looks daft (a bit like the Jag xjs convertible) and with the roof up it looks like a lardy MX-5 (coupe roof).

Don't like it, zeds just look wrong in convertable form, they never should have made any, the lines just dont flow. Thats a top notch conversion but its still daft.

That would look awesome with 99 spec rear lights wide arch kit & deep dish 19"s lambo doors imo well thats the external mods id do to a convertible LWB
