I'm thinking of designing some new back lights. But how dose the law stand on using one way black tint over them. The lights are clear visable through the tint. also where do I stand on having the red rear reflectors on the back.

Any help would be great

Thanks Daz

I tinted mine on my 200SX and had no problems for three years. I don't know if it was legal or not though.

The reflector shouldn't be tinted but you can always use a stick-on one for the MoT.

as far as i'm aware, the lights have to be clearly visable, for the obvious reasons. there must also be reflectors on the rear of the vehicle. you could get rid of the reflectors in the standard lights, as long as you replace them with some that are clearly visable. ie. you could have them somewhere on the rear bumper discreetly placed as long as they do the job

i got pulled in my m8 car he got a ticket as the reflectors where blacked out he had to get reflector for the garage to give him the thumbs up.
