Engine rebuild what's needed?

As the engine is out it makes sence to rebuild the engine but what is actually needed?

i want to hold big hp, the tubs which are on order should hold between 550-600bhp ish.

I know the obvious parts which need replacing but what about other bits.

I've been looking on sites do i need to replace any of the following?

Valve Springs

Titanium Retainers

Valve Guides

Crankshaft

Master Valves

Hey mate,

I wish I was doing mine but money restricts

Remember to replace as is needed, if it is worn replace and in sets not individualy. Sounds like you will be doubleing the hp so belt and braces mentality is good to consider.

I would be looking at the crank to make sure it will take it, pistons and rods with uprated bolts, cams to make use of the power which in turn would mean springs and retainers, heads flowed and balanced and skimmed. Don't forget the block, if its not up to it your wasteing your money, get the deck faced and oil and water ways tested and cleared, new core plugs and helicoil any dodgy threads.
