I am off to the Maldives on monday :hyper: . Was hoping to go fishing while I was there but don't know how much it will cost. Anyone got any idea.

Putting the Z in for a service while I am away as well so hopefully it will drive a lot better on my return.

Never been there but have visited lots of similar places.

I'd guess it depends what price hotel you're in and what sort of fishing you want.

Anything from £20 for some basic kit to £800+++ for a boat, crew and all the kit to go chasing Marlin, Tuna, sharks etc.

I think as a holiday maker in the Maldives you tend to pay UK type prices but I could be wrong.

ps you lucky, lucky barsteward - not that I'm jealous!

edit - ask on the Lonely Planet site on their 'Thorn Tree Forum'.
