I seem to have disabled the siren on my alarm somehow?

Does anyone have one of these alarms and can advise what I may have done? (I have no instruction manual for it). I'm guessing I've pressed some combination of buttons on the fob and switched it off.

Its the model with the fob like this...

attachment.php?attachmentid=23123&stc=1

Thanks,

Gareth

Give me a few mins bud, and I'll see what I can do for you. I can scan and PDF the book if you want?

If you wouldn't mind doing that Dave, I would be very grateful to you.

Thanks.

I've got a 1018T, which has the same sort of remote. As far as I can see from the manual, there's no way of turning the siren off.

The only thing I can see is that it may be that the siren battery is low. You can do a diagnostic on it by doing the following:

Unset the alarm.

open the driver's door and leave it open.

turn the ignition on.

press the touch key into the slot on the dash.

the led will flash to tell you how many keys have been programmed for the alarm.

turn the ignition off.

You will now get some flashes on the led to show you any faults. This is the list of failure modes and the number of flashes every 3 seconds that you'll see if one of them exists:

Ultrasonic sensors - 2

Driver's door contact - 3

Perimetric input - 4

Siren battery low - 8

Close the driver's door to come out of diagnostic mode.

You may have a better model than me that does allow you to disable the siren though.

Cheers Dave M. for that. The 'other' Dave has sent me a copy of the manual for mine (the 1218t2 model) so I'll try what you suggested along with the manual.

Thank you both for your help...what a wonderful place this is  :D
