Now obviously it has something to do with sound that we can't hear?

or does it?

In the Toadai606 what do ultrasonics do? And I hear they are related to those little microphone things that get installed. I thought they were movement sensors but are they actually sound sensors?

I did a search but still confused.

Also to those of you with the toad, is pet mode the same as arming with ultrasonics disabled?

Thanks,

Al

ultrasonics, is using sound waves to detect movement.

pet mode turns off the sensors as your pet, or even a little fly for that matter, will set the alarm off. you'll also need to put it in pet mode if you leave the car with the targas off.

"you'll also need to put it in pet mode if you leave the car with the targas off"

Excellent I was going to ask that question next.

I left mine in a petrol station car park with targas off when I went to pay (I could see the car at all times) and the alarm went off twice. I thought maybe the wind was blowing the air freshener hanging on the mirror.

So is pet mode the same as ultrasonics disabled?

When I had my Clifford alarm fitted there was a choice of 2 interior sensor, one would let me leave the Targas off without false alarms, cant remember what he called it now.
