Hi

 

I got a japanese 300zx and its not been changed to UK mph yet, what someone has done is just put a face plate over the speedo with mph on which ends at about 110 mph

 

I only just noticed that when I turn the car on the speedo jumps to 10mph

 

The speed readings seem fine tho (guessing goinging through a 30 zone, etc)

 

Any ideas why this would happen?

When they change the face plate they have to remove the needle. It probably wsnt put back in the right place.

Oh is it a easy job to do mate? As I could do it?

Couldn't tell you. Not the best on to get advice off as I seem to have blown my gauges trying to delimit the car. I'm sure someone on the forum will let you know.
