What is it you want to know and I'll tell you all I can.

 

I wanted the GT28 Roller bearing turbos because of all the stuff i'd read about them in the states. Jim Wolf reconds they have vurtually no lag. Which I can confirm seems to be the case. Z1 and Jim Wolf + quite a few people on TT net reckon they are good for about 550 to 650BHP (I assume their talking Crank figures + depending upon what jets etc) which is more than I'll ever run the car at. I got them off Smithy believing them to be reworked GT28 cartriges. However when they arrived it was clear that they were brand spanking new Garret T28 roller bearing turbos.

 

The Exhaust side is of the latest 5 stud pattern and will not match up to the manifold from the 200SX, Pulsar or any of the cars that us Garret T28's as standard. Then when you look ate the impellors They are of the dual cyclon design which they only brought out in late 2003 early 2004. (Turbo dynamics told me the last 2 pair that they did for Paul were of the newer design) Same as Steve Mochan's. I was well please and further investigation with Turbo Dynamic's told me that the induction Body is the GT28 "R" for roller bearing and the exhaust twin cyclon chamber is a Garret part 37 (because that part is compatable/fits with the Z and the GT28R) and designed for sports performance. hence GT2837RS. I could be a complete gulable fool, but thats what I've been told.

 

PS They just pull and pull even when the engine was knacked. With no lag at all. Even John Dixon comented on it when he set my boost controller up.

sounds similar to the ones I have, basically the GT28RS that the JWT700BB and Z1 675 kits are based on. What A/R do you have?
