How do you drive your Zed?

I have always believed that the car was designed to be driven hard and used to its full potential so thats the way I have driven it, have taken it on track a few times and quite often give it some serious stick.

Although I do keep the car 100% in top condition at no expense spared I have had to spend thousands repairing engine / gearbox. Am I being stupid driving a 15 year old car like this, many people I have spoken to tell me I am so whats your opinion? You are all owners so your opinion / views mean a lot more than Mondeo driver, should I wrap it up in wool or keep driving it like I am, grinning like a chesire cat.

Plus I have never posted a poll before and wanted to see how its done. :D

awesome, new door?

Yeah I got a yellow one from Yami's other half, it was yellow.

Spent Wednesday rubbing it down, later I sorted out the door!!!!!

Got it sprayed and laquered and then fitted it on Saturday afternoon - there are still a few yellow hints visible but on the whole not too bad a job.

£200 and 7 days to sort out my track day problem.

Feeling pretty good about myself, especially after the door fits so sweetly.

awesome work there buddy, was the sill damaged?

No Just the door, there wasn't even a mark on the sill :p .

I am going to need to get the tracking sorted, it hasn't moved much but with the way I drive can feel there is a slight change in the angle the tyre is hitting the road.

It is going so well at the moment it's hard not to give it some stick.

I drive everything like a whore with my arse on fire. I always have done. Even race everthing from the lights in my Ford ranger FFS.

I allways intend to be sensible but end up nailing it. I have my pickup truck sideways at least once a day. I don't think its big or clever and at my age you'd think I'd know better, but I just enjoy it :nono: :hyper: :nana2: :D

Usually I begin by opening the door and sitting in the diver's seat.

I start the engine, engage drive, release the brake and depress the pedal on the right. I find that the more I depress said pedal, the faster the car goes.......... ;)

Why, do you drive your's using any other method than the traditional one??

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

i always used to don my clothe cap and driving gloves and always drove mine sedately wherever i went

Yeah right, you were the donut Meister of Diseister if I remember! You were the King! LOL :D

its a sports car and mines driven as such, also normaly used as daily driver, but always warmed up properly before a good thrashing .

Is that possible with a 600zx ?

Yeah!-sit in it and make ''brum brum'' sounds-I get about 60mpg like that! :smw:

Well, according to one of my housemates I drive my zed like this: impatiently with my hand on the horn whilst yelling out the window "Get out the way!! It's green!!!" I feel this is an unfair exaggeration though.

Usually I drive it like a granny to save fuel, tyres etc. But tonight for my trip up from Reading it was most definitly in Nikki Mode! Pissed off a few Beemers, LOL!

A 1.8 Punto! That must go like stink!

I dont think Beemers are fitted with indicators. Was following this 5 series for about 100miles and he never indicated ONCE. Kept changing lanes like a mad man, pi$$ed me off so he got some dust from my new tyres! :nana2: :nana2: :nana2:

Sorry for the thread hi-jack Richard!

it is nippy, 0-60 comes in about 8secs, nothing spectactular, but good fun all the same. plus everyone thinks its a 1.2 :D
