HELP! my drivers side door lock is jammed i think the motor is sezied. I am trying to remove the door card without the door open and its proving difficult!

 

i have tried pulling really hard on the cable that unlocks the door but it wont budge. The key turns the lock both ways fine but doesnt unlock the door.

 

central locking is dead and does nothing, where is the fuse for the central locking?

 

Also if it was just the fuse you would still be able to unlock the door manually right?

 

So far i have managed to get the door card off some of the way but its almost impossible, there are 2 small screws that i just cant get to.

 

Has anyone got a black leather/grey fabric door card spear as im about to get angry with mine and rip it off! I'll also need a central locking motor i rekon!

check the fuses in the floorwell of the drivers side. I have standard door cards and locking motor,. be patient good luck

I have checked a few of them but they are impossible to get to without the door open, with the seat right back and down i can just reach the front few with the steering wheel in my back! The fuse lid translation says the Auto Door lock is 10a near the front but i cant find it Grrr

 

Ps, still if it was just the fuse id ve able to unlock the door manually right?

try putting the window down and gettin a steel rule or similar between the window and rubber to un-jam the mechanismn

yeah that was i thought anyone any good at jimmyin doors?

 

I was thinking that if the cable wouldnt release it then it would probably be too sezied to jimmy open etc

Theyll get the door open with a minimum of damage they re used to it.

 

Ive called them out a couple of times when I lost the ignition key.

Yes im a member of the aa and i had thought of ringin em, only prob is my car is at my home address and i dont think they will come out to your home (im on the lowest cover)
