Can anyone tell me what the green wire thats coming out of the rear center panel is for ? If its to light up thr 300zx logo, why is there only one wire ? :headvswal just bought this one because old one damaged .cheers

At a guess it could be for the 300zx that sometimes lights up on the centre panel. or maybe thats where the fog light was placed, or for reversing lights!!

there are the bulb holders each side as normal for the reversing lights , but this wire goes into the center of the panel and ONLY one wire ( green ) :confused:

Take a good look at the rear, is the 300ZX in White, Red or Green/Blue?? If it's Green/Blue, then the wire will probably be for an illuminated panel, but no idea why only one wire. Also is the back of the panel flat apart from the two bulb holders?

If it does turn out to be an illuminated panel, then it sounds like you're knacked! As, for one, you don't have a second wire, and two, you don't have the inverter attached, so it can't be used anyway (as the 12vdc has to be inverted into 110vac!)

 

Sorry that's not much use to you, but without seeing it, can't really say much.
