I always park my Zed in two parking spaces since a knobber in a tranny van decided to bounce his door off the Zed. I never knew they operated parking attendents in this car-park in Tonbridge. Ended up with a parking fine Doh. Can't see what there problem is though, perfect Zed parking if you ask me? Oh well £30 is less than what it would cost to repare damage from another tranny van door.

There out to shaft you mate, so keep them sparklers peeled

Plenty of room to open the doors, no problem. Just like one of the poxy "Mother and Baby" spaces outside Tesco !

your having a laugh right?? no offence but If i saw a car taking two spaces i'd be well hacked off... mind you the car park is empty... but still

1 car - 1 parking space! :mac1:

Must admit I've done the same in the REX at Tesco's and some tesco's car park attendant chappie asked if I needed help with parking. Cheeky sod.

Holy sh*te mate  do you ever feel like they're out to get you!!

Well I used to agree with you but now I've got a small dent and did have white paint on what was an immaculate Zed after a barsteward in a tranny thought he would bounce his door off it. So now I make a point of taking 2 spaces as long as there are plenty of spares. If not I park somewhere else. Not doing any harm to anyone, you can see it a half empty car park. Not particuarly p*ssed with the ticket by the way, I consider the risk worth while to not get more dents in zed. I just thought it was a funny picture lol!

I also take up two parking spaces if I need to, and sorry but f*ck anyone who does'nt like it :p I've seen the way people open car doors, and the zed is a wide car with no door protection strips.

I usually park in the Mother and baby at supermarkets (only when I have the kids in the car), or if not then I park at emptier end of car park.

It harms nobody, as I've never parked when a car park is'nt full of empty spaces.

I do the same and i dont care ill park crossways if i have to :D

Yep, don't blame you Dave - I always take up 2 space if i'm in Tesco's shopping or anyware... Not only the fact of people opening there doors onto our cars the other problem is if we do park in one space then it's a problem for us to get out of our Z'eds we don't have Lambo style doors and our doors are big and don't give us much room to get out!!!

Our local village station was taken over by some cowboy outfit, their first task was to reduce the size of the bays (length & width), make lots of no park areas so actually reduced the total number of bays, and instigated new rules and fines for parking on the white lines, the best bays for any non super mini are the end bay, but if you park on the white line to give the max space between you and the car next to you, then its ticket time.

Paying for tickets is a real pain, machines stop working, reject coins, queues of people as the trains approaching, so missed trains or ticket time, what’s amazing paying for the fine is really swift, all online, its actually quicker to pay the fine than to buy a ticket, you can see where this firm has invested its money.

Not that I’d want to leave my Z at the station everyday, but on the odd day that I do want to take it, I’ve got to get there early to bag an end bay.

Yep, I went into waitrose across the little river, came back and had two attendents all over the Zed! There was actually a car on the white line of the bay next to me which forced me to park over two bays, which I do anyhow mind. I explained this to the attendent and he agreed and said he saw the current car just come in to the car park, and that he'd make a note so I could write to them. Didn't help though, the council said I should have parked somewhere else as there were loads of spaces. Seems to me that if there's loads of spaces why bother doing someone for taking up two, but there you go :( . Anyhow its always nice to have a new phot of the Zed, I'm going to write to the council and ask to get a colour copy of it haha, its on their website in colour but I couldn't get it to show me in large format as the site was playing up.

unlucky mate - i park in there sometime's but try & avoid it - i always get a comment from a tall blond parking attendant as she used to own a Z31.. lol

Wadhurst station is about 1 mile from the nearest shop/civilization in one direction and 3 miles in the other direction, so the only reason that you would use the car park at the station is for the trains.

You’ve not heard the best one, one day this winter after it snowed, the car park was covered and no whites lines could be seen, having fought their way though un-gritted country lanes people parked as best the could, and with decent spacing to avoid collision due to the slippery conditions, also, due to the weather the car park was only about 20% full, but guess what, around midday the new firm got their arses out of bed and ticketed everyone, we all complained and didn’t have to pay the fines, but just goes to show that its all about making money.

Prior to giving the contract to this new outfit, the old firm had the same guy manage this and several other local stations, who knew who bought tickets everyday, and if one day you missed buying one so that you could catch the trains, then you had no fear of a ticket or clamp.

Here’s another good one, my wife has to go to St Thomas’s hospital in London about twice a year, so you sort out the congestion charge costs and make your way to London. In the past there were some 60 or so visitor parking spaces, and any very clearly marked staff only parking areas, the barrier would only let cars in when spaces were free. Now however they have taken down the big sign about staff parking, and allowed visitors to park in a small part of the staff area, but once inside there are no signs saying where this ends, but when you leave your car on foot, and walk past the staff entrance there are signs saying that non staff cars will be clamped. Yet another scheme to trick people, everyone’s playing the parking ticket game.

Everyone says that the old days were better, but at least there wasn’t this obsession with turning everyone in to criminals in order to extract money from them.

i do believe that the clamping and ticketing racket is going to be regulated some where. i remember watching 5th gear once and they had "angle grinder man" on it. hes a bloke who goes around cutting peoples clamps off their car.

they also showed how to remove some of they easily

Always park my zed like that, if it is a pay and display I buy two tickets and that means you can take two bays.
