on swapping my 18's over to the standard 16's I have noticed that one of my 18's isn't perfectly round, it's got a flat edge on the inside rim. is this something a wheel refuber can fix, or should i junk them?

Featured Replies

Easy fix buddy!

But if you wanna junk em, i'll have em :D

Find a wheel refurber and ask them, they can't charge for a quote. They should tell you if it is repairable...

When thet refurb the wheels they'll put them on a lathe to tidy them up, that will remove most problems. Also, balancing will help. However, if they're not repairable, then they'll let you know at the time.

Use my guy he did a top notch job!

His name's Alan 07903 847 640

He said he can do anything working in ally pretty much. My wheels were folded back on themselves and he only charged me 40 to fix and skim them back into shape was truly amazed

I'll pop some pics up in a bit

He works in brum as well

He only charged me 40 squid to weld up the edges, straighten it and skim the grazes out of it. Amazing job for the money

nope fantastic job, just got to split them all apart then sandblast the centres before spraying them up and polishing the rims up before reassembling and taking them to get shoed up ready for the new motor :D

youd have to ask him, i found him through a company called sweeny sherlock who do whole wheel refurbs, if its a two piece split rim they should be able to do it for 40 quid + VAT a wheel that's to straighten, shot blast and and repain the whole wheel.

I'd have a word with andy if i were you, tell him Nick gave you his number and he repaired a speedline wheel for a 300zx
