Fitted it this morning and took my Z for a good cain this afternoon.. My Z feel's so much more torquey down the bottom end and pulls like a bloody train right the way up the rev range now!!! :D

Difficult to say what's happening up the top end cause it's pulling so hard but turbo's seem to kick in slightly quicker again now and bottom end idle also seems a lot smoother... Can't wait to get it on the rollers again but something has deffinetly made a nice difference over the JWT chip I had and made the car more driveable down the lower end of the rev range!!!

Right, better subscribe then before I get wet!!!! :D ;)

Glad to hear it's working well, will be interesting to see the dyno comparison because every car is different. One of the things I also do is a chip with dual maps, so you can switch maps in a couple of seconds rather than taking the ECU out. Can be used for different things like good/bad fuel or normal/track or normal/garage mode (so the cheeky feckers can't talk your car for a thrashing at lunchtime). My car never sees a garage so I've only ever used it for back to back comparisions on dyno days.

Mac, you must be a mind reader!!! This is gonna be my next plan of action but probably gonna do that later on in the year and fit a koyo rad or something as well... Gotta get my bonett vents put in hopefully in the next few weeks as the bloody thing runs really hot after a good run especially in this weather... Don't wanna fook this engine like I did my last one!!! :nono:

Bloody hell mate after all the stick you gave me over fitting side mounts and you wanting to go Front mount LOL.

At least you are going the right way John, bonnet vents, koyo rad and bigger coolers

PS stick some water wetter in the cooling system pulls the temp down a good few degrees.

Andy .. the chips you do .. do you do them for a series 3 N/A?

No, but I do have a some N/A chips although these are not from SE.

Does a Series III have the 16 bit ECU, in which case there's not much you can do except replace it with a Series II ECU and map that.

i think you might be right on the 32 bit ecu .. is there any codes on the ecu i could check to see whether this has been changed or not?

I've never seen a late model ECU, you may have to open it to tell the difference. I think there are some pics on the JWT site.

what gains could i expect from fitting one of these to my z andy?? thinking of a decat, but have induction.

Cheers for that Macca, got some of that Millers Rad Inhibitor already which does the same thing, runs cooler but still gets hot if you know what I mean!

I honestly don't know, it is a noticable difference though.

what mods would be worth doing to ensure im getting some benefits.

Big turbos:D;)

Follow the usual route for N/A. eg headers, cams etc. Seriously though, you will notice a difference on a stock engine.
