But the Z back on the road today after 6 months in storage.

I am getting some very funny hesitation problems around 2000 RPM.( In all gears, manual)

If I floor the car through the gears she pulls away fine no problem

If however I am cruising at around 60 the minute I accelerate slightly she stumbles along , loses power before catching and going and stumbling again

This is the same regardless of whether driving using cruise con or accelerator. It feels to me my accelerator cable or throttle bodies arent operating correctly on minor touches from accelerator pedal

Has any one else come across this, and how did you resolve

Thankz

Roy

How could a timing problem manifest itself during storage? Will check anyway

Will check TPS, had it all cleaned about 2 years ago but can re-check

Dosent feel the same as a TPS problem (I had it before)

Allthough problem dosent happen when cold ie first 5 mins of driving then starts .

Other hint

Started car last week , was starting it once every 2 weeks while offroad and pressed accelerator in neutral. Car revved up to 2000 rpm then died before kicking back in at around 1000 rpm and back up. This cycle continued for some time. accelerator pedal was kept in same position throughout

Connection to MAF ?

My car had also been standing for a couple of months, one of the injectors had become blocked and loads of the electrical connections needed cleaning.

Sounds more like connections to the CAS unit. Check the connectors on the harness from the PTU which get a powdery corrosion problem due to being at the front of the engine and prone to getting moist from bad weather etc.,

After sitting for 6 months i would be cleaning all the electrical Connectors (injectors, coilpacks, fuel temp, water temp, PTU) and definately changing the spark plugs. Also, a good idea would be to fill the tank with Fresh petrol and add some injector cleaner for good measure. then take it out for a good hard blast!
