You're back. Have you been feeling ill like myself or up to something special. The guys on here have helped me feel a little better thanks guys  however they're not quite up to your level of witty, clever and entertaining banter. ;)

lol, well i'll be on standard rims till i can take the time to finish sorting out my split rims, believe me thought they'll be something special...

Same as this but i'm painting the centre spokes in 300zx metallic black with about 20 layers of laquer ;)

Sounds good to me I like black it goes so well with everything

Done any drifting at all?

I'm getting pretty good drifting the Rex around roundabouts although hubbie goes mad at me. The first time it was an accident left him quite white faced at first then followed by a big grin with shouts of "How the f*****k did you manage to hold that."

pmsl  i used to drift my parents granada estate, lol huge weight on the back so easy to get the back end out and suprisingly balanced. I want to practise drifting but i lost my nerve after my crash although saturday on the track boosted my confidence how hard you can push these cars even in standard form :)

Need to get on a big wide open space to practise me thinks :D

If you're getting one to do that though try and get a TT SWB, easier to handle cause they're shorter and lighter

Know what you mean the Rex is shorter but not much lighter it at about 1.5tonnes.

The big wide open spaces are diffucult to find and there's all the fuss of changing over the tyres too.

I tend to go through tyres at an alarming rate even in the Rover 214i. Handbrake turns and blasting off at the lights. I've had the thing skimming sideways before, scared the willies off the lads in there feista. I know I'm a complete race boy. :nelson:

What accident did you have? You did'nt get hurt I hope.

Was driving in absolutely torrential rain, petrol light came on 4 miles from home so pulled off up the slip road, its a big open centred roundabout about 6 foot off the ground with trees either end so you can't see round the corner. As i came round the corner the road was flooded on the inside lane, aquaplained then the auto kicked down, span the car and smashed the front into the barriers, car went up on its front with me hanging looking down over the motorway then dropped and span and i banged my head quite hard.

Luckily nothing broken apart form the car but i can't drive fast in the rain now, was gripping so hard to steering wheel following micky and chunk in the rain at 100+mph i left fingernail marks in my hands on the way down to the bbq on friday lol

Bl******dy hell bunny you were lucky.

I've aquaplained in the Rex but being a manual I was fine, and it was a straight road. I was exceeding the speed limit at the time doing 85 in a 50 :nelson: over the brow of a hill down into the dip it was flooded. I was worried about water getting into the air intake. I'm far more careful nowadays. Know just what you mean about driving in the wet it's even worse just after a prolonged dry spell.

What tyres are you using in the wet? Eagle F1's really push the water away from the car so you're almost driving on dry tarmac much better grip.

Tip keep the nails short and relax the arms results in smoother steering. :D

lol

I'm running hancook ventus all round, bloody great water channels so they're awesome in the wet. Standard on Mondeo ST220

only 280 quid for the full set fitted!!!

How long are they gonna last? and did that price include disposal of the old ones or have you kept them for a little drifting time. ;)

lol, wish i had kept them :D They're bearing up alright actually. Suprised how good they are for the money! :D

No point paying anymore than you have to. And as me mum always says "If it ain't brokern don't fix it"

bantembunny and let's drift i think you guys should get a (chat) room lol

or just get a room in general!

You'll be getting a room in a minute a room in the hospital

It appear we're getting a bit of a reputation for crying out lound. Oh well suppose it gives them something to talk about.
