Very useful for synching my mp3 collection with the home pc or copying some vids to there

That’s what I thought, very usefully for coping stuff across without going back to the house each time.

 

I’ve just started playing with the Centrafuse demo, so far so good, no instructions so a bit frustrating, but I’ve got the following going

 

Music from the hard drive

 

Pictures from the hard drive

 

Video from the hard drive

 

Datascan

 

Internet Access via WiFi (not tested dialup yet, but will do soon)

 

Internet radio (again via WiFi, probably expecting to much to get it via GPRS)

 

E-mail via WiFi, the pop-up keyboard won’t transfer the text across to outlook express, but it sends and receives ok and the physical keyboard works ok

 

Phone Control, I’m testing with a Nokia 6600, but having problems, it connects ok over Bluetooth, it should work, but the phone control app crashes. Also, according to the compatibility chart it can’t support receiving SMS with Centrafuse. I might have to look on eBay for a fully compatible phone, a 3G one would be nice for decent internet access, but I’ll probably have to make do with GPRS for now. It looks like you might have to buy the phone control separately!

 

USB Camera, seems to be problematic at the moment, when you try to select a device the app crashes

 

Trying to find a friend who has a USB radio/TV USB device that I can borrow to test before buying.

 

Will have to see how much Centrafuse costs once launched!

 

Problem is what with all of the USB connections, I’m gone to need to install a solar panel charger beneath one of the targa tops to keep the battery charged

mate there are plenty of other front end apps like centrafuse that should work fully and are available for free. They also have documents and help files to help so might be worth trying one of those, media car or media engine are pretty good
