hey guys

was just driving home from zedworld after having a few small jobs done, taking it easy as it was pouring it down with rain. autobox kicked down in the middle of a roundabout and the back end flicked out so violently i didnt stand a chance. slid through a 180 before the car set its eyes on a lamp post. even though it was a low speed crash, the car i reckon is beyond repair.

gutted that all the hard work and effort i put into the car has now gone to waste as i cant see it being repairable. but not as gutted as i thought id be. as some of you know i have been seriously considering selling up or breaking it for a few months now and just couldnt make my mind up, i suppose this has helped me decide and i really do need the money if i want to get a house soon.

i love the cars but i have decided i will not be buying another 300 in the near future. i massively enjoyed the driving experience and the modding and this great forum/club! i will be breaking the car so keep an eye out in the for sale section for some tasty bits and pieces.

cheers

Yas

Sorry to hear that buddy, know we haven't spoken but i know you're a well established zedder and its a real loss to the club when they do go.

Hope you'll still log on and join in matey cause at the end of the day the club isn't just about the zeds its about the people too.

Don't know but i think it was you who spotted me outside De Montfort Uni last september thinking it was grey when in fact it was just mucky :D and it was you that invited me to come along to a meet and that's what made me subscribe, the best thing i've done for a long time.

All the best buddy,

Nick

Unlucky :(

Roundabouts and rain don't go together with RWD.

Looks like the decisions been taken out of your hands then.

All the best m8 i hope you can get her fixed and back up and running soon poss

Ditto. That's the 300 zx club.

thanks again for all your support everyone in this thread, by phone and pm :)

i really dont think the car is repairable but if it is i honestly dont have the desire or the cash to have it sorted. my insurance was renewed on friday so im just going to cancel that and get my money back, not going to go through the hassle of reporting it and ending up with a hike in premiuim next year.

to be honest i knew the car had to go sooner or later and i have just been making excuses for myself to keep it. now that decision has been taken out of my hands. id love to have the car rebuilt back to its previous glory but its just not financially wise for me.

il give jeff a ring on monday and see what he thinks, maybe it is repairable and someone could take the whole car off my hands, it would save a rare 300 and save me a lot of trouble!

i will no doubt stay on the forum and post every now and then, and will definatley come to JAE and some other meets once uni is out of the way. who knows, maybe in a years time il be in a much healthier financial position and could be on the hunt for another zed, only time will tell.

Gutted for you bud if i had the cash.....IE. Lotto win would pay your bill for the zed & Uni....All the best....

good luck mate

Sorry to hear that, Yas. Hopefully you'll be able to get some decent money out of selling the bits, mate, and, like ya say, at least it's made up your mind for you - sometimes it's nicer for fate to take some decisions out of our hands! All the best for the future,

Simon

Sorry to here that bud. Just seen the pics. Glad you're all right... at the end of the day it's just a car, and you can always get another one in the future if you want to. Main thing is you're in one piece.

all the guys that have PM regarding parts, i will only reply if i need to or if the part is available now. if i dont reply im afraid you will have to wait till i put a list up but i will keep a note of who asked for what first. need to get my exams out of the way first!

just seen the picture thread - again really sorry to hear this bud.

Hi Yas, just sat here and read all of this, and looked at the pictures. Really sorry to hear about this bud, knowing that you've put all that effort into her as well. I wish you the best with whatever happeneds in the end mate.

I can understand how you feel, and I hope you make that right decission that is right for yourself.

All the best with it,

Dave

at least your ok though..... Good luck with the house tho!!

Geez, ive only just noticed this thread. Really gutted for you yas! Glad your ok though.

Just noticed this myself too :( sad news indeed.

I feel for ya mate, I really do. That was a beautiful, and rare Z you had there, hopefully someone will take on the repair and get her back on the road - SWB slicktop TT = perfection (well, with a manual conversion it would be ;) )

Glad you're ok mate, hope to still see you around.

And the best of luck with Uni dude :)

cheers for all the supportive comments everyone, i wasnt hurt at all and luckily there was nobody else involved. the lamp post did stop me sliding into a bunch of cars at the giveway!

Glad your ok Yas, sorry to hear about your Z though, absolutley gutted for ya... Keep in touch and on this forum though.... ;)
