Hi,

Any one know anything about solid replacements in alloy i think, to replace the rear subframe bushes ?

Is it worth doing this or just getting some uprated rubber ones ?

If i do fit the metal ones , whats the difference in noise level ?

Has anyone already done this ?

I have already bought the solid replacments and wondering do i have to completly remove rear subframe or just lower a little bit ?

Cheers

completely remove the old ones first I'm afriad. I have the solid ones and found there wasn't much difference in noise level compared to the poly ones i had on my old LWB. Slightly more diff whine if you get the diff mounts though compared to the poly's, much more compared to stock. I like it :D

I have each mount in two parts, top and bottom, i would have thought this would be quite easy to fit ,,,,,,,, is this so ?

and is it worth it for the difference in handling ?

I dont have the diff mounts , but do you have a idea how long it will take with a 2 pillar lift and some mech knoledge :hyper:

Are the old bushes just made out of rubber ? or are they oil filled ?  HELP

silicone grease filled. i am trying to get the same work done! i am trying to get hold of nismo subframe bushes, although they are not made anymore so i might use poly for the subframe and nismo for the rest of the rear bushes.

Diddy p , let me know where you find the poly bushes for the subframe if you can, because i think the solid metal ones i have are going to be too much noise wise. :hyper:

if you're ever up this way I'll take you for a spin in mine so you can decide on the noise levels

cheers jaffa :hyper:

the bushes themselves are widely available, i'm sure one of the traders can sort you out.
