Just finished servicing the bike ready for the summer, had the carbs balanced, oil and filter change new plugs and a pair of Bridgestone Battlax she sounds so sweet :nana2:

Ahh the Yamaha FZR 1000 Exup RU... I used to have one and ran me own website and forum on em, mine was 91 model, and did everything to it, dogbones, mirror polished frame and swinger myself, changed gearing etc etc used to keep her in my kitchen :)

 

There is no 'production' car that will keep with an exup guys am afraid, I seen road test of a Exup vrs a McLaren F1 road car and the Exup beat it to 100mph lol so unless you got sommat quicker than a F1 then the Exup will win :)

 

I got loads of vids of me on the Exup racin other bikes on the road, up to 165mph too :) and I was faster than a new Blade although an 05 R1 model 'walked' away from me.

 

I just swapped a Kawasaki ZX-9R for my 300ZX TT, thats how I got the 300 and the 9R wasnt as fast as me old Exup, handled better though.

 

 

As much as I love cars and esp. turbos, they cant live with bikes, well until am proven wrong that is lol my moneys on the Exup :D

im still backing the northern red beast

there are plenty of tuned cars that would hand the McLaren F1 road car its ass in a drag race. that was not what it was built for.

Well first of all thats a nice bike I really like the polished frame :bow:

 

Back to the race...............................

 

If I was to race off the lights over a 1/4 then I would say we would be almost crossing the line together.

This race will be rolling at say 50mph to 170+ I have already beat the bike from 70mph in top gear and the car really did catch the bike flat footed so we both had a go from 3rd gear. Same result the car pulled away with ease!

 

Now that really did surprise me as I have had a lot of experience with bikes and you wind an EXUP from 5000rpm in third gear you will need something special (car wise) to pull away from you.

Nice Exup, I used to have an RU myself. Got an R1 now - 140mph (real speed) wheelies are the way ahead! :D

well as mac knows i raced a GSXR when i was running 1 bar of boost and i say i was racing him, i was setting up my boost controller so he must have thought i was racing so he tucked in and shot past me so i was in 4th and in the "mental" rev range so i thought what the hell and floored it in 4th and went up his bum ;) and passed him fairly easily but i was doing..... well more than double the motorway speed on my private road ;)
