then we get torn calf due to a terrible tackel and the poor sod cant hit the winner because he cant stand on a leg.

i had been reading a west ham forum who were saying how proud they were of their side, and the difference in the two was one man

 

they were even talking about how proud they were that liverpool supporters were praising them

I'm not a fan of either side but thought the best team won IMO although they were more or less evenly matched for long periods in the game.....apart from one area of the pitch where Gerrard was superb!

 

......Gerrard was quality, all round great performance which looks good for England!!! :)

 

With regard to the 'play fair' throw in saga.... Liverpool threw the ball back and Scoloni should have let it run for a goal kick but he didn't, he cleared it up the pitch but not very well as it dropped in his own half and to a Liverpool player, West Ham still had chances to clear when it was played back in but they didn't and what a finish from Gerrard!!!

 

As for the tackle......(in my best Arsene Wenger voice) "I did not see it..." as I was making a cup of tea... :)

spot on m8, ball was thrown back to a west ham player to do what he wanted

and he decided to hoof it upfield, as a liverpool supporter i could say this and that of why i think the game was so tight, but a lot of it was down to the way the hammers played, sad way for any final to be won, but thats life :nana2:

as a nuetral, it was one of the greatest F.A. cup finals ive seen, and personaly i thought west ham just shaded it shame harewood couldnt get that ball in right at the end though, and i have to agree with matty about gerard what a player, cant wait to see him at bramall lane next season!

Yeah you're dead right Mat Lad, Gerrard was superb that kid is quality!

 

Did want West Ham to win though but it was superb entertainment of a Saturday afternoon and I bet the fans were well impressed. Top footie even though I hate the beautiful game aswell mate.

one of the best games, let alone finals iv seen for a while - superb entertainment, if only players could put so much effort in throughout the season rather than throwing themselves on the floor trying to win free kicks.

Not a footy fan meself but what a game .. west ham were robbed IMO .. funnily enough all the scousers round here have taken there flags down lol

Nobody won the game it was a draw, West Ham lost it on poor penalties IMO.

As I have always been a fan of Millwall I must say I was shouting for the Hammers and was well disapointed for them. I dont like penalty shoot outs as I dont believe its a fair way to decide a match. Play an extra half until the first team scores would be the better way and keep going because someone will score the winner eventually.
