Oke guys the twinZ from Peru are saying: if we get enough people together to buy this bumper we can get it a lot cheaper if we bulk buy. :D i.e. shipping costs and distribution in the UK.

Ok guys, so when do we get a firm pricing ? Also is there any indications of supply time (manufacture time + shipping time) ? As a suggestion, has anyone thought of using the ESCROW payment service for added security ? However if this whole order is payed via VISA or MASTERCARD then I see no problem even if we are shafted as we will all get our money back through charge back.

 

I would advise those interested to go full ahead as we have contigencies as explained above in place.

Well i'm still waiting on thetwinz,

 

a. he said they were showing us some pictures of the finished product on owners cars

 

b. he also said they were sending me a final quote including shipping (but not duty) using my address as the delivery address

 

So up to thetwinz to provide us with the final info then we can start to organise it a bit more

I understand every reaction from the members here, since we are new...We're not here to screw anyone, we came here to meet Z guys, get well known and someday expand our business here too, but since lots of members wanted to get the bumper, our plans changed really fast and here we are...offering the same product we are selling in the US that lots of members from american Z clubs already know and put their trust in us.

 

We are new in U.K., but we have a long way in the U.S., since we are members of http://www.twinturbo.net for over 4 years, and all the members know our work and passion for the Z cars...We have gone to the US in different ocassions to meet with Z owners and promote our products too and we've been with the big guys in California like Greg Dupree, Seb and Dean from http://www.Speacialty-Z.com ...We also work with Charles Park (owner of PowerTrix) who is our distributor in the US...I think Smithy gets products from him, so he could ask him personally about us.

As we said before, we are kinda veterans there with over 4 years of being members and over 100,000 hits (that's why it says "a lot")

We're planning on making new products for the Z32, like new rear bumper, new side skirts, new wing and new wide rear fenders to put up to date the already timeless lines of the 300ZX...We're not planning on ruining our reputation around the world, since we have HUGE plans and many ideas to make our business grow not only in the US.

i have to say, im totally shocked that members of this club will jump on the back of someone for selling floor mats without being subscribed, yet are willing to spends thousands from a trader in another country who isnt a paid up trader.

Guys, ask to see the feedback from the e bay account these guys were selling them on, and why have they stopped selling on e bay.

Ask to see post's on their normal forum, from buyers who have fitted the bumper from them ?

secondly, we have traders who PAY for the privilage to trade here, so THEY "should" be offered such an order.

They don't once mention hello i'm from Peru and i'd like to sell me and my brother's bumper, then over the course of the thread "OUR" members start to ask where they got the bumper from and how they'd like to buy it, "NOT" the twinz saying hey everyone come and buy our bumpers.

Then Wozzer started this thread to get together people who were interested in buying the bumper. T-Pot and Coldeyes from the looks of things you aren't interested in buying the bumpers. I can understand your concern but thetwinz have tried their hardest to prove themselves:

 

pics of their workshop,

pics of the packaging process,

pics comparing theirs to luke's (of which cannot see the similarity, they're different bumpers different shapes and proportions),

and they've not once insulted either of you personally.

 

Can we please stop this hostility toward them, they are after all users of this forum the same as you and me (they aren't subscribed traders but why should they be if they didn't join the forum to sell, people asked them about the bumper themselves).

 

If they did or did not say something on another forum that offends you then that's something to take up on that forum but as far as i've seen they haven't said anything on here that offends members of this club.

 

You do have a right to your opinion but they are trying to prove themselves which they shouldn't have to really.

 

This isn't a personal attack at you guys either but if you have a problem with thetwinz for saying something on another forum can we keep it to that forum?

 

Why does there have to be all this hostility over a bumper design that 9 of us like and want to organise a way of getting?

I think it's disgraceful for someone on this forum to openly suggest that we get one of our traders to copy someone elses product. :nono:

I doubt they would be happy if it happened to them!

 

I understand where T-pot is coming from but that is NOT the solution.

 

We should be encouraging people with new ideas to produce and supply us with quality products not engouraging more rip-offs.

 

If the traders want to trade then they should think first about becoming official suppliers not forgers IMHO.

 

Obviously TheTwinz are new to us so we have an inherent distrust (especially these days) so safeguards are essential in a transaction involving a large sum of money like this.

 

Their reputations & opinions of their product quality need to be checked of course.

The distributor in the US would be a good start.

1) This is GENERAL, and not the Group-Buy section.

2) As The TwinZ is not even a Subscribed Member, then someone else should have taken this up as a group-Buy on their own, and put it in the proper place.

3) As no one else actually offers this exact bumper, then it won't break any club rules, as long as the proper channels are followed

 

And my personal view is, if you guys want to go for it, then do so, but please do it via the proper channels, and not in the current way in which it is being done.

i never said get copies made, i said get approach a trader, and ask them if they will make you bumpers.

now seeing as each and everyone of you will need to alter this, it would be easier for the lights etc to be done at the time of fabricating.

 

and while its possible to ake one close to this, it would not be a copy nor a rip off.

imho this entire order is wrong, and a slap in the face for ever trader who pays bloody good money to do so. it also shows that a lot of people can be sucked in so easily, by a stranger. I TRULY hope it goes well, and you get a good product and a good service, but the reluctance to show you feedback from the e bay account used to sell these isnt on show, eneither is any posts on their normal forum to display happy customers, but im sure you will be ok, after all your mates now

i have to agree with t-pot on this one, the whole point about trading here is they pay to do so, these guys arent even subscribed!! let alone traders,

 

i looked at the speciality-z site and saw no sign of these bumpers or any bodywork parts on sale.

 

i for one would rather buy the exact same bumper off luke without the side vents and have the side sections fiberglassed on if i want that square edge.

 

No disrespect to the twinz but they are an unknown quantity and as such have to take the necessary steps to become a trader here, then that would show some sign of good faith.

 

also why dont they supply samples to russ, for sale that would be easy to do.

 

the ball is in thier court so to speak, however i would rather buy from a trusted trader than from an unknown.

 

and im afraid mac cant deal with them in peru can he!! a group buy on this is a lot of cash, no-one can afford to just throw away cash can they.
