Oke guys the twinZ from Peru are saying: if we get enough people together to buy this bumper we can get it a lot cheaper if we bulk buy. :D i.e. shipping costs and distribution in the UK.

Guys, no offence here but have you really thought this one through?

 

Your about to send an AWFUL lot of money to someone who is unknown, NOT a trader, and too far away to call around should you have any issues.

 

Its a lovely bumper i agree, but really for the money its going to cost you, have you not thought about asking our traders who pay to sell here, if they could look at manufacturing one simular to it ?

 

from a trusted supplier, close to some of us?

it's your money guys, and im not having a go, i just think its desire getting in the way of rational thinking. and for so many people to be "possibly" let down, would have a major downer on the club.

 

this is why we charge traders to trade her, so we get the best of the best

But on the other hand if you were a trader trying to get a business off the ground making a good product and were trying to establish some links in another country wouldn't you want some support from your club?

 

I think everyone here ordering isn't blind to the risks but at the end of the day you have to realise anyone new, especially when they're out of the country trying to establish a product needs alot of help. If the product is worth it and lets face it its a nice looking bumper then if the price is reasonable i'm willing to take the risk and possibly help a company that can produce new and interesting bumper designs.

 

When the facts are all in line, we know the exact cost of each bumper, then we'll make an informed decision but until then i shall stay impartial and give this guy a chance.

I want one, but am happy to wait until the first batch have come in and have been fitted.....

And have you thought about asking one of the supporters of this club who pay to support us, if they would make you 10 of these bumpers?

 

While i see the reason behind your post mate, this isnt twinz club that hes looking for support from, he only joined with the post about his bumper remember.

 

if he had been here for 6 months, then tried, then maybe, but out of the blue ????

 

personally, if i was a paying trader to the site, i'd be a little annoyed that people were so ready to throw money abroad to a person who is not a trader, without at least being asked the question.

 

while its very comendable that your all trying to help a new trader, its a shame the valued paying traders are the one losing out to it.

yes i have spoken to other traders on this form and seen their bumpers and be checking out more at Japfest...

 

as to the twinz being reliable or not..only time will tell...

 

i am not a person just to send my money and hope for the best... if we do business with the twinz,, then i expect guarantees in BLACK AND WHITE...

 

as to modifying the bumper for UK mot standards,, for me this is not a problem and i will post photos of my modification when it is done..

I'm not worried about mot prepping for the front bumper. I've already worked out i'd fit the orange side indicators into the front, side grills. Photoshop to follow :D

I must confess i can see a little of where T-pot is coming from, this guys very 1st post started of well and towards the bottom of his post he went to the bit about selling them to the UK, i was very surprised at the time the part about selling them here wasn't moderated from his post so as to just allow the information he wanted to share along with pics etc.

I think it's fair to say, he never suddenly joined the forum to be apart of our group, but wanted to push sales of his bumper, which as it happens from what i've read on twinturbo.net recives pretty good feedback.

Smithy: Yeah i agree it is slightly off but when you have a product you're trying to sell you have to explore all avenues, i'm self employed and its tough these days to provide a quality product at a competitive price and i for one am willing to give someone a chance. At the end of the day its not a duff product like those stupid "performance" transistors its someone's hard work and creative vision realised through many hard hours, blood sweat and tears to arrive at a finished product and probably a shed load of cash on wasted attempts. An i think the finished product is worth spending a little more on for something slightly different to the norm. Who knows if we encourage them what beautiful additional products may arrive and may even get noticed and picked up by a big dealer over here?

 

I think some of you are being a bit harsh when all they're trying to do is make a living making something that benefits the 300zx community as a whole around the world to not put to fine a point on it.

im self employed to and its got to said,its a f king hard these days to survive let alone make a decent living and i cant afford to through money away either,if theres something you like ,and you want and with a bit of trust, i dont care if i buy it of an allien, if someone can make that same bumper here ,after all this they would make a tidy sum ,but no one is, so no more negertive stuff, if all the home work is done correct i cant see why not,after all if you didnt want to buy of a person abroad, why oh why are 95 % of you driving around in imports? and in fact if we cant get 10 ill proberly buy 2 and sell it to the highest bidder itll proberly pay for the other one

I don't think anyone is going ot be keen on parting with their hard earned wonga for something we don't know we're going to get. I'll make sure we get as much info on this guy and the product so their's no nasty suprises. If we do this the right way we end up with some great unique bumpers which was the aim of the thread in the first place :)

 

I was thinking the same personally if the numbers don't get up to ten then i'll buy two and sell the other somehow
