Sorry again - clutch actuator problem :(

Since I picked up the car last november the clutch has been a bit on the heavy side. On the occasions when I've taken the dash binnacle out I have been able to hear hissing coming from somplace near the firewall with the engine running.

Finally got down and dirty and crawled into the drivers footwell last night to find the hissing coming from the seam around what I'm guessing is the vacuum assisted clutch actuator? (Looks like a brake servo only on the inside of the car under the clutch pedal)

So... It looks a complete TWAT to change and probably costs and arm and a leg and a genital?

Can I just disconnect and plug the vacuum feed to it (I think it's the hose that does a circuit around the brake servo?) and live with a slightly heavy clutch?

I think this was also what was causing my rough idling :hyper:

The booster is very expensive ( £500+ ) they are not too bad to swap, you can disconnect it and block of the vacuum feed to stop the air leak and put up with a heavy clutch, however if you change the pedle and slave cylinder to a non turbo it will feel lighter as these were designed to work without a booster and the so the lever angle is better.
