Hello all, i am relocating the battery to the boot - do i get rid of the earth strap in the front and earth everything in the boot, or run the earth strap where it is and extend it to reach the boot?

thank you please!

Due to earthing problems with this car, I'd recommend extending the earth from the battery by cable to the engine bay. You can still add a local strap to the chassis in the rear.

cheers bud!

the 300zx doesnt have earthing problems?? well i should say it shouldnt but connections get crap in them and it stops them getting a good earth ;)

in answer to your question we cut the earth strap where it goes from the chassis to the battery, ran the live which i fed through the wing, into the car and ran it to the back and i had one of shrimpys earthing kits so i used that to earth it to 3 points in the boot and connected the live :)

Also i bought a caravan battery box to house it, think it cost me £25 to do it all and works a treat

yep earth in the boot and run live cable with a fuse through the car.DONT FORGET THE FUSE !!!
