I hate to sound ignorant but can anyone tell me what a 'slicktop' is? I've heard it battered around on this forum but can say for definite what it is apart from making a few assumptions (such as convertible).

If someone could clear that up it would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Paul.

Slicktop means it has a fixed metal roof as opposed to the more widespread removable glass targa tops.

It's said that slicktops have better handling due to rigidity and less weight.

Personally part of the appeal of the ZX is the fact that you can remove the targa panels in good weather and enjoy "open-top" motoring :D

And personally for me the appeal of the Skicktop is the fact that it hasnt got those stupid glass panels in the roof.

I hate fresh air open top motoring with a vengance.

And lastly they do handle better cos the shells dont flex and they are faster cos they are lighter, especially them RED ones :D :D
