Not long had my ZED (1994 TT MAN uk car)

The car run's about 13psi so i don't think it's standerd, i'm looking for 400bhp is this hard to get and how much???

Also what do boost jets do???

My mate zx run's 14psi and is a lot faster

Performance Air Filter, De-cat, Exhaust, Re-mapped ECU/Chip, Boost Controller or Boost Jets will give you a lot more power close to that figure. If you want any more it starts to get very pricey - Bigger turbos, intercoolers, injectors, rad etc. Your car must be running less than 13 psi as 1 psi wont make your mates car a lot faster. Your probably running standard boost 9 psi ;)

Do you have aftermarket Boost gauge ? The Stock boost gauge is useless, dont even thing of trying to work out boost level with it.

Boost jets just give you more turbo pressure (boost) you need to uprate ECU aswell. that is the best way to get more fuel ! :hyper:

depends on the size of boost jets mate, start off at 1.2mm and work your way down from there , smaller the jet bigger the boost... for that read smaller the jet more chance of the engine going bang if its not set up properly,

far the best is a boost controller Profec B or equivolent 150 quid check ebay or email chris at getgreddy decent bloke he will sort you one out im sure

The only thing i dislike about boost controllers is the lack of safety boost when there is a problem. with boost jets ie mig tips you get the same power all the time until there is a problem and the car goes into safety boost to let you know and sort before the big bang. :D
