Might go and look at a 1997 one tomorrow / Saturday.

Want to knock about the local disused quarry with it.

Anyone know anything about them?

I've had road bikes and an RMX250 before.

Cheers!

good bikes mate.

low down grunt is great for off road fun, very under rated and under mentioned bike, but heaps of trouble free fun fella

No but staying on Bike topic I was quoted £190 for a pair of tyres for mine is that a rip off? T-pot gave me a contact to try for tomorrow. :nana2:

Cheers Tpot. I'll see what the bike looks like.

Iain £190 isn't bad mate. It depends on the tyres. And assume that's fitted? To the bike not loose wheels?

Older design tyres are sold cheaper than the latest designs that perform much, much better. I'd be wary of tyres that were superceeded 3 years ago or before but lots of people sell them.

A good place for tyres is http://www.fwr.co.uk - even just to look at prices. http://www.blackcircles.co.uk are actually quite good too.

What make / model have you been offered mate?

Pilots are good tyres but there's several types.

I have Pilot Roads on my Caponord - they're a good all-round sports touring tyre which means stable and warm up quickly. I can get my knee / pegs down no worries.

You're probably being offered the Pilot Power - it's the next most sporty tyre in the range - an excellent sporty modern tyre you can do tracks days with, no problem.

The Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power Race are too track orientated and won't warm up easily on the road plus will be unstable.

£190 sounds ok for ride-in ride-out.
