I’m looking for an affordable boost controller and am currently looking at the Greddy Profec B-SPEC2 or the Blitz DUAL SBC spec-S, does anyone have any comments on either, or a recommendation?

Thanks

David

That's not too bad then. I'm assuming that either is perfectly capable of doing the job?

I brought a profec b spec 2 from ebay last week and installed it at the weekend. I've got to grips with it already. I had boost jets before, but this is much, much better boost. I also got the remote switch that fits on the stearing wheel to go from low to high boost. Bit of a gadget really :) I'd really recomend it. Loads of people have them on here..

Profec B spec II here, great boost controller, not hugely steady boost but gives lots of options and makes the zed pull harder sooner and with a bit more poke! Nice compact unit IMHO and im impresssed with it

What sort of set gain are you guys running. I've read that it should be set arround 2 psi lower than the set boost.

4.8 psi gain gives me 9psi max boost, limit set at 11psi Low setting

8.8psi gain gives me 13.5psi max boost, limit set at 15 psi High setting

Max recorded boost is 14.9 psi (god knows how i got that)!

just turn it up slowly till your at your comforable limit then set it as high

i run the low setting at about the same as stock boost 8-9 psi

Its costing me a fortune on gas setting it up. I'm almost there :)

Has anyone else had the clicking sound from the solonoid when giving it some?

Thanks for all your comments, just bought a Profec B spec II, shame the seller didnt take Paypal, now I won't get it until next week.

Just got to figure out how to install it!

Smithy hurry up with the brakes!

Can someone do a dummies guide to installing the Profec B-Spec2!? :D

There is one, but the pictures have gone

I know about that one, it's a bit like calling a friend who knows what he's on about but you dont! Looks a bit like one of the American guides, in which case some of the stuff will of course be a bit different...! I've got a general idea of how to install it but rather be safe then sorry!
