and what is wrong with speeding in 70's? If you cannot speed in a 70, when can you speed??????? LOLOL

Wont stop people....

I totally agree. Only the other night I had the dubious 'pleasure' of accepting a lift back from town with a friend of a friend. To say the guy was insane is an understatement! At one point I summoned up the courage to actually look at the speedo and we were doing just over 70. IN A 30 ZONE!! Fair enough it was fairly late at night but that road has new forest ponies on it day and night. He looked fairly put out when I got out of the car and told him I'd walk the remaining 5 miles home as I stood a better chance of actually getting there. My mate carried on in the car though, and she even had the cheek to ask why I got out?! I'm not 100% sure but thinking back I suspect he may have been drinking........can't be sure on that though as I arrived quite late in the evening and only met this guy when I was a bit sozzled myself.

Oh, and it was a Saxo.

Ahhh...no time for drink drivers tbh. It is always some innocent passer by or child that gets hurt....zero tolerance is my view...

Have to agree here.

No excuses for D&D :nono:

As for speed, I always respect 30/40 and "most" 50 zones but I still tend to see "national speed limit" as whatever speed I see as safe to drive at. If that means 100+ on an empty dry clear and straight motorway then I'll take my chances with the law.

BTW anyone ever notice how many women speed in inappropriate circunstances?

Sure, not as many women will do over 100 as men. But I've lost count of the number of women tailgaiting me at 30 through town; or when I'm a passenger in their cars, drive at 45 in a 30 zone (then keep at 45 on a dual carriageway  ).

The one that always gets me though is the number of women who drive at 30 through a fekking car park :nono: SLOW DOWN!!!!!! There are sooooo many hazzards there, cars reversing out of spaces, kids walking with their parents etc etc. 10mph is more appropriate for any car park :slap:

Rant over ;)

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

What gets me are those idots who do 40 in the 30 zone then slow down for National speed limit. These are usually the ones who beep you in the car park because you're playing it safe and crawley along either looking for space or aware of others backing out on you. Oh yes they also tend not to follow the direction arrows either I've seen a couple of headon's because of that.
