Well cold war supersonic bombers go cheap nowadays - only £15K for a Vulcan.

But you would need millions to make it flyable lol. Makes a Zed look cheap to run :rofl:

I was hopeing it was the one thats at southend airport. flipping thing only fires up its engines once a year. once too bloody often IMO. Bloody jetwash points strait towards out club.

IIRC The guy who bought that couldn't get planning permission to site it at his pub, and also got quoted some immense fees to move it. I seem to remember the figure was in the tens of thousands for moving it.

I remember seeing those fly at RAF Cosford, omg they were the loudest things I'd ever heard!

fantastic aircraft, enjoy the sound of it!!! The guys at waddington are getting close to getting theirs back on the display circuit!!

 

Best of luck to this guy, moving things like this not easy at all, but well worth it once they are in place!
