Odd O2 sensor ECU fault

With my orginal ECU and standard chip, I clearly have an issue with the left-hand O2 sensor, as posted before it remains static, whereas the right-hand sensor oscillates as expected. Today I fitted one of Andy’s Map 2 chips into a spare ECU and the left-hand O2 sensor behaves correctly and I have a bit better performance (no boost jets fitted yet).

I damaged the standard Chip in removing it so I’m not sure if it is the new ECU or Andy’s chip that is fixing the O2 reading, but I’d suspect the ECU.

Update: I've now put the orginal ECU back and the left-hand O2 sensor in now working, but not within spec, as I have a replacement I'll change it and where what happens then.

Any thought gratefully received.

Next job boost jets!

Not a mechanic boff at all but i've just had to replace both O2's. The car runs like a complete dog when they're not functioning. Was your car running ok?

It starts and idles well but is lacking real Z power, I've got one O2 sensor and this will be installed on Tuesday so I'll have to see what its like afterwards. The tips of the exhausts are covered in soot/carbon which someone mentioned was due to too rich a mixture possibly due to the O2 sensors. If this is the cure, I'll have to get Smiths big brake kit quickly!
