What's this lead

Just about to upgrade my ECU when I found this lead disconnected, does anyone know what it is, and what impact it has not being connected? It is next to the ECU.

Thanks

David

It's like a thermocouple lead, rigid, two wire in a heat resisting jacket and a 3 pole plug with the two outer pins being used. I can't see a socket for it.

could be a plug in lead for a speaker on old hands free car kit modules, looks like comms cable u see.

As my car is a bit slow, I'm always on the look out for the problem, but this lead had nowhere to plug in, so can't be too important
