I have just bought myself a bike to start off with. Been looking for a wee while, but finally decided on a CBR600 (apparently an easy and good bike to start with).

Its an older version, but at least if I drop it etc I wont worry cos its not too expensive. Anyway, here it is:

What do you guys think?

Just need some good weather for it. MarkGixxar750, sorry for not buying your bike. The timing would be all wrong cos I go to Florida in July, so money at that time is spent on holiday spending money.

Hi its a good starter bile [ what year ] ive had 600 / 750 /900/ 1000 cc bikes they are very addicted and very dangerous if not treated with respect go for rides on your own till you feel comfy with the bike just sold my [fireblade last week ]

I think its a good bike to start off on if your on a budget right now, enjoy getting some miles under your belt and then once your more confident and have the money you can move on to bigger and better things. Honda always built a reliable although sometimes a touch boring bike and it will be comfortable to ride.

And guess what. £348 TPFT insurance on it. Pretty happy with that considering that I passed my test this time last week.

who was insurance quote from you could insure that bike on a carol nash classic policy depending on your age it could be cheaper

It was carol nash I used. Best quote using other companies was £600. My mate then suggested using carol nash cos he saved plenty money off them so I did.

Thanks for the comments

Good starter bike Dave. Take it easy, even though it's a 600 it can still scare the pants off you.

Enjoy :D

I know someone else who is very interested in your bike. Will I pass your phone number on?

You can pass on my email address (markwilson970@gmail.com) if you like m8, its costs me a small fortune if someone calls my mobile out here.
