did it stop after you let the car cool for a while as it could point to the ptu.

if not check all of your connectors to the coilpack and the injectors.

deffo sounds like its dropped a cylinder or 2

Ditto

mate. you need to do an engine diagnostic 1st

if you havent got the software, ask a local member or youl have to do it using the lights.

Ok

this happened to me once and it was just a loose coil connector

go out and look at your coil pack connectors and push them back on to see if loose

if that doesnt work out try disconnecting one at a time to see if it makes a difference if it doesnt you have found the offending cylinder if its a problem like that

look here for diagnostic info

Right update, I have checked all the coil connectors, they seem to be okay, still running a bit rough, initial pick up on acceleration is very poor but once shes moving, it bloody flies!! I've done the ECU check code 55 is showing, Now I'm really confused.

this happened to me once - turned out id knocked one of the connectors loose from the ptu when i was working on the radiator. silver box at front driver side of engine bay near the cam end cover. make sure connections are tight both sides.

This may be rubbish but on the diagnostic disk I got off ebay for the following problem:

Engine sounds rough when idling it gave this explanation:

Engine misfiring in 1 or 2 cylinders, try replacing spark plugs or spark plug wires.
