if the detonation sensor was at fault would the engine smoke?

mine didn't just got safety boost are you getting code 34

got code 34 checked wires all ok.Reset ecu code 55 all ok but it sounds like its missing now no blue smoke from rear or any smoke at all just normal?

Safety mode will cause vehicle to run a little richer, but not to the point where it will cause smoke.

 

Most code34 problems are intermittent (bad harness connection), however resetting ecu will usully give a code 55, until you drive the car and attempt to boost, at which point it will jump into safety mode again.

found loose plug on one off the coil packs refitted all ok up to now :bow:

might sound silly, but where do i look to see error codes?
