I never realised how BIG they are. I don't know if the 300 will fit down my street.

But I brought it anyway! A Silver NA Manual 2+2

Woohoo. I'll probably crash it on the way home (got to drive it out of b-ham city centre).

The one I got had 2 big bore exhausts on it and I swear I turned on the engine it sounded like some Chevy V8 or something. Just what I need to get revenge on the boy racers revving their corsas by my house.

Thanks for the help guys and at last I'm a 'proper' 300zx forum guy.

Al

ps (unfortunately I got to wait 10 days for it as its an unregistered import and needs stuff doing including security).

well one thing that the car has going for it is that it looks great. No rust or anything and barely any scratches. They had a rust bucket GTO going for 3500.

check this link out....

that is the exact dealer I am talking about, they are FULL OF SHITE !!!!

sorry to be another bearer of bad stories with this outfit, but I hope the car is ok for you, if you have any problems with it then they won't want to know, they will sell you a warranty but we all know they are not worth the paper they are written on don't we !

and it IS bullsh*t about not giving you a test drive, you can drive anything on trade plates.....

ask them if you can bring the AA or RAC along for a full inspection and then ask them if they are willing to refund your deposit if the inspection finds any anomalies, then see how friendly they are.....?!?!

hope it all goes well for you mate....

cheers

Andy..

I didn't get the test drive because the battery was flat and he used one of those portable things to start it up for me. That website is different to the one for where 'my' car is though. Although i think the place is only about a mile away.

I'll get the test drive before I buy, then if I do I'l check the warranty. I'll have to get a check list together before I go to get it. Thanks for all this everyone.

Mr Red what were they like to deal with? Did they seem really friendly and trying their best to please (sneaky ninja style) or were they pushy and not very nice (not so sneaky ninja style)?

It looks like a nice car but just do your best to make sure before you get too far (I guess you know that!) or it'll do yer head in!

I think a deposit has to be fully returnable bylaw if you can find fault with the car. Even if you find a major fault AFTER buying you can 'reject the goods' and get your money back. It's not always easy though.

Best be sure sooner rather than later though.

Good luck with it. It might be a winner and we're just all over careful / paranoid!

I guess when the car is as old as it is then there are that many more things that could go wrong. I think it'll be a J reg when registered and its done about 50k miles. Like I say though it LOOKS fantastic, but we all know looks can be deceiving. I'll just make sure I give it a proper test before I part with more money and I'll let them know thats what I want and maybe it'll make them service and mot it properly. Afterall if they ripped EVERYone off they couldn't possibly survive as a buisness. Especially in their out of the way location they must rely on word of mouth.

AlFo, don't take this the wrong way but do you live on the Scotlands? I only ask because of your speed bump post!

check the milage tho as they havnt mentioned it, but id be going to see it if i was looking for another z

sorry was on a slight high and just got in.

Screw the NA get this instead - looka sweet!

sweet car for £3500

gotta ask why the hell he's got the drivers seat covered up in the pics.

No Yampie but there are speed bumps on my journey to school in the morning. The type that are like lumps in the middle of the road that come two or three at a time. Not the straight across type.

Hey have you had dealings with premier cars too then?
