Well it was going to be a check over and fettle as the engine has only done 38K, but unfortunately besides the Plenum being off in the work shop for the past year or so one of the plugs was out and it has got iron filings in the open valve area. So it a complete rebuild with forged pistons the whole shooting match. Better safe than sorry.

 

It also appears that the demize of my previous engine is due to it being over honed. So that may well be sorted and up for sale shortley as I've got my old auto engine with a good block. So if the pistons on present engine are OK????

There ya go then. I'll have to soldier on the way i'm going. Her in doors aint pleased its going to cost more than Originally planned as the builder is back in a fortnight to get on anfd finish the Barns. So I'm hoping I can build a second good engine now out of the remains as I have new Gasket sets (Genuine Nissan not Ebay shit) and can get head skimmed and block honed by Johns mate who owns the recon centre. That way I can claw some money back. Anyway have you got the seats in Yet?

 

P.S. I want to talk to you a but a mean chip and boost set up.

I've got the seats installed in the hallway at the minute - most comfortable thay are too! No interior at all in the car at the moment.

Yep I miss them from my office. I used to sit and read my contracts in them.

Anyway its given me the incentive to tidy up now the seats and all my Z parts have gone. its starting to look like an office again.
