lol. Just as long you can tell the difference between walking policemen and the sleeping variety.

Speed bumpers are a f*****g nightmare. Im sure they took out my clutch slave unit. The ones with a bump on both sides of the road make me drive down the middle of the road over them. But some peeps dont like that :wack:

my whole road has them.....slowly very slowly lol

Gaz lives in the gutter!

Seriously, mine was lowered, standard body, standard wheels and occasionally the underside could catch but put on 18" wheels and problem solved.

approach, turn into other lane as you go up (diagonally so that wheel is first thing to go over), then 90 degree and come back into your own lane.

^ only useful when there's nothing oncoming!

how does putting on 18s solve the problem? The diameter of the tires don't change do they? Or do they? I really don't know.

So are bumps a problem even in stock form?

bigger alloys tend to have lower profile tyres so the actual size of the wheel is almost the same. also depends on suspension setup obviously.

stock wheels and suspension, no problems with speed bumps on mine. Have more of an issue with the slope of my drive, have to reverse at an angle or else it catches the heat sheild on the exhaust.

oi village boy shut it!!!

i live opposite an off licence so every body love me

No problems with speed bumps for me, with Eibach lowering springs. Aftermarket bodykits tend to be lower and pose possible problems.

I used to creep over them but I found out if you hit them at a steady 50, the car just floats over them. Honest - try it! ;)

"YEH RIGHT" LOL

I catch nearly every bump i come across though has been lowered too much.Simple thing to do-Go the long way round to avoid em!

Mines is standard springs with 17" alloys. The only problem I have is it sometimes catches with my exhaust. Front and back are fine. Just the usual underneath scrapes and oh nos

I believe you! When thrashing the lorry through tight streets at work, we have a saying - "the faster you go, the bigger the gap" - im sure it could work for ground clearance too!

i just mount kirbz, they havent put speed bumps up there yet

Speed bumps r ok, just have to drive really slowly. Just NEVER go in a multi story carpark, the ramps in there are a nightmare to get up!

I sometimes nearly get beached on the top of ramps in carparks-Also hear the CAt-guards scraping.

Hmm Multi storey? Can stock cars get up those ok? Shopping Malls and their car parks are a big part of my life!

Al

yep I have no probs with carparks, only the missus gets probs the lanes are narrower when she drives

Don't tell her I said that :o

I park in a multi-storey car park every day. I was sh***ing myself the first time I went in, but thankfully it seems to clear all the bumps etc with at least a nanometre to spare ;)

Mine's stock with 17" alloys. ]

Obviously car parks will vary - although I think there should be laws as to the angles/camber etc they use when they're building them - it's discrimination!

Also, watch out for the massive kerbs or it'll be time for a new bumper.
