As you can see on full throttle there's 0psi of boost - the car feels slower than a brick frown.gif

Compressor wheel is locked solid so....

Good chance to fit de-cat pipes though so there's a bonus. The question is though, how far to go with the turbos??? Want some scope for future mods etc so what have you guyz experiences been with different ones??? Would be grateful of price details etc...

Andy

Hi Andy.

Just a quick question, is the fuel consumption better now you are running low boost smile.gif smile.gif.

Seriously though, I feel sorry for you and your wallet, but how does a turbo sieze up?? What oil pressure did you have when it siezed? Was the engine hot or cold? Was you giving it some stick at the time?

Regards

RCD

Oh shit, sorry to hear about that mate.

I guess it's an engine out job then.

What's to stop you putting T28's on, I think they'll fit, or at least that's what everyone on the 200sx forum has said & you can pick them up for £200 each.

CheerZ for the comments guyZ. First off, the engine was well and trully warmed up, the oil pressure was spot on and the actual point at which it failed I was cruising - just before it got a light caning but nothing out of the ordinary...

So far I've got down to the final four bolts attaching the drivers turbo to the exhaust manifold. Once these are off it should be out. Trying to leave the engine in but one more hiccup when I do the passneger side and its coming out. Then I can plug the EGR and remove some of the emmissions shite that nissan insist on.....

I'll keep you informed....

CheerZ,

Andy

Andy you can do it with the engine in but not advisable,SE remove the engine for a reason so that any manifold problems can be effectively dealt with, imagine having to do it all again mad.gif.

Andy

Sorry to hear about your problems - I see that you are doing it with the engine still in - I still find it hard to believe that you can do anything to the engine with so little room!!!

Hope it all goes well, if you need to postpone the work on saturday i'll understand , but if required I can stil come up and give you a hand with fixing your car.

The problem:

I had this problem 2 years ago while on my way to Max Live at the NEC, I was not happy, the car was so slow, one turbo had siezed, I craped myself because the car was part of the show and it had not got enough power to do a donut!

The cure:

Left foot hard on the break, right foot hard on the gas, hardly any power, so very little wheelspin. Just kept the feet where they were, and then the only sound that I needed to hear, the second blower coming to life.

The moto:

If in doubt, flat out!
